Following the capture of President Nicolás Maduro during a U.S. military operation in Venezuela, control of the South American country has passed into the hands of Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
Standing in front of the Venezuelan flag, Rodríguez stated that yesterday morning’s operation represents a clear violation of international law and Venezuela’s sovereignty.
She added that the action must be rejected by the Venezuelan people and condemned by governments across Latin America.
