Albania’s Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has commemorated June 12, 1999, the Liberation Day of Kosovo from Serbian forces, calling it a historic moment that ended darkness and rekindled hope.
“Today we remember the day that ended the darkness and revived hope. Every step of NATO troops in Kosovo was a step towards life, freedom, and dignity,” Vengu wrote on platform X.
Today marks 26 years since NATO forces entered Kosovo, leading to the withdrawal of Milošević’s Serbian troops and signaling the start of a new era for the country on its path to freedom and independence.
