Hekuran Murati, a deputy from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), has become the first LVV official to react to the Constitutional Court’s judgment on the Assembly’s situation.

Murati stated that this judgment indicates that secret voting does not violate the Constitution. He emphasized that there’s no need to wait 30 days, suggesting the matter can be resolved as early as tomorrow.

Murati’s Interpretation of the Ruling

In his full statement, Murati outlined his key takeaways from the Constitutional Court’s decision:

  1. Secret voting does not violate the Constitution; therefore, it is permitted.
  2. All parties must commit to constituting the Assembly, especially those proposing members for the Assembly’s leadership.
  3. All deputies are obligated to participate in the vote.

“We have said these things from day one. The Constitutional Court has now said them too,” Murati asserted. “There’s no need to wait even 30 days. This can proceed with a secret vote as early as tomorrow, and this matter can be concluded.”
