Around 3:00 PM, the Vetëvendosje (LVV) movement will file an appeal with the Supreme Court against the decision of the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Appeals (PZAP) regarding the Serbian List. This was confirmed to KALLXO.com through its sources.
On December 25, 2024, PZAP upheld the appeal of the Serbian List, which had not been certified by the Central Election Commission (KQZ) for the upcoming elections on February 9, 2025, in Kosovo.
“Order is given to the Central Election Commission (KQZ) to certify the political entity, the Serbian List, and the candidates of this political subject, in accordance with the recommendation of the Office for Registration, Certification, and Financial Control of political entities in KQZ, dated December 22, 2024, for the Elections to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo to be held on February 9, 2025,” states the PZAP decision.
The Serbian List had announced its appeal to PZAP through a press conference on December 24, 2024. On the KQZ meeting held on December 23, 2024, the Serbian List was not certified for the February 9 elections. This decision was based on concerns raised by several KQZ members, who argued that the leader of the Serbian List, Zllatan Ellek, had made nationalist calls during the presentation of the electoral list for this political entity.
The non-certification of the largest Serbian party in Kosovo has sparked numerous international reactions.
