Vjosa Osmani after the system crash at the CEC: The integrity of the electoral process must be protected, every vote must be counted

President Vjosa Osmani reacted following the software failure at the Central Election Commission (CEC), which prevented the publication of results by the CEC.

“However, after the software failure, which has been confirmed by the CEC, the President has requested that the integrity of the electoral process be protected, ensuring that every vote is accurately counted,” Osmani wrote.

“The President will continue to stay in contact with all relevant institutions until full assurance is given that the entire electoral process, including counting and publishing the results, is conducted in accordance with the highest democratic standards and the will of the citizens.”

Statement from the President:

The President of the Republic of Kosovo congratulates the citizens who, even in this electoral process, demonstrated a high democratic culture.

She expressed the expectation that the CEC will successfully complete the vote counting by the end of the day. However, after the software failure, which has been confirmed by the CEC, the President has requested that the integrity of the electoral process be protected, ensuring that every vote is accurately counted.

The President will continue to stay in contact with all relevant institutions until full assurance is given that the entire electoral process, including counting and publishing the results, is conducted in accordance with the highest democratic standards and the will of the citizens.
