The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has officially received the letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of Costa Rica to Kosovo, Olga M. Sauma Uribe.

During the ceremony, President Osmani welcomed the ambassador and congratulated her on the new appointment, expressing confidence that her mandate will further strengthen the already strong relations between the two countries.

According to the presidential statement, Osmani expressed gratitude for Costa Rica’s early and principled support for Kosovo’s independence and sovereignty, highlighting the potential to expand bilateral cooperation in several areas. She also emphasized that Kosovo values its friendly relations with Latin American countries and remains committed to deepening cooperation with the region.

The meeting also focused on opportunities to strengthen collaboration in diplomacy, economic development, and particularly tourism.

In this context, President Osmani underlined the importance of intensifying efforts toward mutual visa liberalization between Kosovo and Costa Rica, describing it as a concrete step toward strengthening ties between citizens, businesses, and institutions of both countries.
