A governing coalition made up of Vetëvendosje Movement, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and non-Serb minorities would be stable and could also enable the election of the president next year.
This is the solution to the political crisis according to lawyer Azem Vllasi.
Speaking on Tëvë1, he said that the results of the February 9 elections clearly showed the need for a coalition government.
Vllasi said that in this coalition, LDK should take the post of Speaker of the Assembly or the First Deputy Prime Minister.
“In my opinion, the positions are clearly defined, and a coalition government is absolutely necessary. There must be a coalition government— the party with the most seats in parliament, Vetëvendosje, together with the Democratic League of Kosovo and non-Serb minorities. A stable coalition. The LDK leader should be given the position of Speaker of the Assembly or Deputy Prime Minister, and the other posts should be divided proportionally based on the number of MPs they have,” he assessed.
According to him, in this mandate, the opposition should consist of PDK, AAK, and Nisma. He said the country also needs a strong opposition.
