European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the recent Russian attack on Kyiv, which also targeted EU offices.

Von der Leyen said she was “outraged by Thursday’s attack on Kyiv, which struck even EU offices.”

“This was the deadliest drone and missile attack on the capital since July… it was also an attack on our EU delegation. I just spoke with our Deputy Ambassador and I am relieved that none of our staff were injured,” she stated.

In an earlier post on X, von der Leyen described the situation as “another night of Russia’s merciless bombings” and warned that “Russia must immediately stop its indiscriminate attacks on civilian infrastructure.”

She also called on President Vladimir Putin to “join negotiations for a just and lasting peace.”
