European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was asked about the recent balloons that entered Lithuanian airspace.

She responded by stating that she wants to “express my full solidarity” with Lithuania, calling the incident “a provocation, a hybrid threat” which “we cannot tolerate.”

Von der Leyen also emphasized that she supports the European Union’s plans to increase readiness and invest in military equipment, including drones.

She stressed that the EU “will not tolerate any interference in our airspace or on our territory.”
