Vote Counting in Istog Completed: VV Leads but Sees Over 10% Decline Compared to 2021 – LDK and PDK See Growth

The vote counting in the Municipality of Istog has now been completed.

According to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission (CEC), the leading party in this municipality is the Vetëvendosje Movement, with 35.21%, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 33.82% and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 12.24%, Reporteri.net reports.

Compared to the 2021 elections, Vetëvendosje has seen a decrease of 10.33%, LDK has increased by 8.77%, and PDK has grown by 2.61%.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has also experienced a decline in this municipality, dropping from 11.39% in the 2021 elections to 8.36% this time.

Vote counting for candidates will begin tomorrow, alongside the verification of party results.

“After the completion of these procedures, the counting of votes from outside Kosovo, conditional votes, votes from persons with special needs, and other aspects outlined by the Law on General Elections will take place, and the CEC will announce the final results for political entities and parliamentary candidates,” the CEC clarified.
