The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that voting at Kosovo’s diplomatic missions abroad will take place on December 27, according to Reporteri.net.
In an official notice published on its website, the CEC provided detailed clarification of the voting procedures for citizens registered to vote outside the country.
Who Is Eligible to Vote Abroad
The CEC emphasized that only voters who have successfully completed registration for voting at diplomatic missions are entitled to vote at embassies and consulates. Citizens who did not complete the registration process will not be permitted to cast a ballot at these locations.
Voter Identification Requirements
According to the CEC, voters must present a valid identification document issued by the Republic of Kosovo in order to vote. Acceptable documents include:
- Kosovo ID card
- Kosovo passport
- Kosovo driver’s license
The Commission stressed that proper identification is mandatory to ensure the integrity and legality of the electoral process.
The announcement is part of the CEC’s broader efforts to ensure transparency, legal certainty, and smooth implementation of voting procedures for citizens living abroad, ahead of the upcoming elections.
