The Central Election Commission (CEC) has begun counting ballots cast outside Kosovo, specifically those from diplomatic missions.
The voting took place on December 27, 2025, in 29 diplomatic missions across 18 countries. Out of 19,187 registered citizens, 16,165 cast their ballots, representing a turnout of 84.24%.
These votes are currently in the counting process, after which the counting of ballots received by mail from Berlin and Bern will continue.
According to the CEC, as of January 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., more than 90 percent of polling stations have been processed. The counting process has been completed in 32 municipalities, while it is ongoing in several others and is expected to conclude over the weekend.
