Serbian Prime Minister, Miloš Vučević, has made a direct appeal for Kosovo Serbs to support the Serbian List in the February 9th elections, exerting pressure on them to vote for this political group. He emphasized that it is crucial for Serbs to participate in the elections and contribute to the mandate of the Serbian List, which, according to him, is the only option for Serbs in Kosovo.

In this way, Vučević is using pressure to force Kosovo Serbs to support a list that has close ties with the Serbian government, disregarding the possibility of independent and fair representation of Serbs in Kosovo. He stressed that every mandate from the Serbian List is a “battle” to prevent Albin Kurti from forming a government without Serbia’s influence.

This move is seen as Vučević’s attempt to strengthen Serbia’s influence over Kosovo’s political processes and maintain control over the Serb community in the country by forcing them to back a list that has faced accusations of ties to corruption and organized crime.
