Miloš Vučević stated that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is prepared for elections at any time, but emphasized that national interests must take precedence over party agendas.
Speaking after consultations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, Vučević said that decisions regarding elections should not be driven by political parties alone, but by what is best for the state and its citizens.
He announced that meetings of the SNS Presidency and Main Board would be held later in the day, during which key messages from his discussions with Vučić would be conveyed to party members. Vučević noted that the president would not attend those sessions.
According to Vučević, the party will engage in internal discussions in the coming period and present its vision for Serbia’s future. He also criticized political actors who advocate for elections while refusing dialogue with the president, whom he described as the only authority responsible for calling early parliamentary elections.
Vučević stressed the importance of political dialogue, arguing that social stability cannot be achieved without communication among all actors on the political scene. He added that some individuals who participated in protests and blockades during 2024 and 2025 have since reconsidered their positions and are now seeking alternative political solutions.
The statement comes amid ongoing political tensions in Serbia and discussions about the possibility of early parliamentary elections.
