Vucic after meeting with British Secretary on Dialogue with Kosovo: “We Don’t Want Any Conflict”

The UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, after his visit to Kosovo, traveled to Serbia where he was received by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

During the meeting, Vučić emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue with Kosovo, despite the opposing stances of both sides.

He stated that Serbia does not want a conflict in the region and remains committed to resolving issues through negotiations.

“Despite our differences regarding the issue of Kosovo, we believe that dialogue is the key to finding a solution, and problems should be solved through talks. We also discussed regional issues and the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbia will always respect the Dayton Agreement. We don’t want any conflict. Serbia desires rapid economic growth, and that is the most important thing for us,” said Vučić, according to Euronews Serbia, as reported by Rks News.

The Serbian president also highlighted that relations between Serbia and the United Kingdom have made progress, especially in the economic and infrastructure sectors.

On the other hand, during his visit to Kosovo, Lammy emphasized the importance of the new Kosovo government’s engagement in the dialogue process with Serbia, reiterating the UK’s support for stability and peace in the region.
