Vučić and Aliyev Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership During Belgrade Visit

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, held discussions with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, focusing on expanding bilateral strategic cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and economic development.

According to Vučić, the two leaders met for a working breakfast following a day of meetings in Belgrade, where they reviewed the outcomes of Aliyev’s official visit and discussed new opportunities for collaboration.

Focus on Energy and Infrastructure Cooperation

Vučić stated that discussions were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, with both presidents expressing commitment to further strengthening relations between their countries.

“We discussed additional ways to enhance friendship and strategic partnership between our nations,” Vučić said in a statement shared on social media. He emphasized that the talks focused on projects aimed at elevating cooperation in energy production, infrastructure connectivity, and economic integration.

Bilateral Agreements Signed

During the visit, government delegations from Serbia and Azerbaijan exchanged several signed bilateral agreements. Among the key agreements were:

  • Cooperation in the field of security, including collaboration on food supply exchange.
  • Development, design, construction, and management of gas-powered power plants, aimed at strengthening regional energy capacity.

Vučić highlighted that the agreements reflect stable diplomatic relations and shared commitment to achieving concrete economic and strategic results.

President Aliyev arrived in Belgrade on Sunday accompanied by an official delegation, marking another step in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
