Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations, the situation in Republika Srpska, Kosovo, and other regional and international issues.
Vučić shared details of the discussion on his official Instagram account budućnostsrbijeav, describing it as a “long and cordial conversation” with the Russian diplomat.
“We reviewed bilateral relations, agreed on further strengthening economic cooperation, participation in joint projects, and analyzed political relations, with the aim of enhancing communication and cooperation in different forums, organizations, and institutions at the international level,” Vučić stated.
According to him, a significant part of the discussion was focused on the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly the crisis affecting Republika Srpska, which he described as externally induced and marked by ongoing attacks.
Vučić also said he informed Lavrov about the internal situation in Serbia, especially regarding Kosovo :
“I explained the continuous attempts to expel our people from their centuries-old homes, as well as the silence of the majority of the international community,” he added.
The two agreed to continue working on the development of Serbian-Russian relations in various fields.
