Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that in the coming days he will make an official visit to Turkey, where, he said, he will hold highly important talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, announcing a series of intensive diplomatic activities in the weeks ahead, Anadolu reports.
Vučić made this announcement to journalists in Mladenovac after opening a renovated high school.
Regional and International Diplomacy
Vučić said that after his visit to Ankara, he will participate in the Munich Security Conference, where he plans a bilateral meeting with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
He also announced that on February 15, Serbia’s Statehood Day, he expects the arrival of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for an official visit to Belgrade, emphasizing that the visit holds “special importance for Serbia,” particularly in the energy sector, where the two countries plan joint projects, including the construction of a gas-fired power plant.
A day after Aliyev’s visit, Vučić plans a trip to India, where he will participate in a summit focused on artificial intelligence and hold a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as discussions with other global leaders.
After returning from India, he said, Serbia expects visits from European officials, with whom it will hold a dinner on February 20 or 21, ahead of a bilateral visit to Kazakhstan.
Accusations Against Croatia
Vučić also claimed that it is “no secret” that Croatia, its media, and political actors are involved in events in Serbia.
He stated that for such claims, as he put it, no intelligence service is needed, since they are “visible to the naked eye,” adding that Zagreb hopes for changes in Serbia’s leadership.
Speaking about what he described as the return of the “Ustaše” ideology in Croatia’s public space, Vučić asserted that this ideology has never completely disappeared, but today it is present in a more open form.
Concerns Over Military Alliance in the Region
The Serbian president also said he is “very concerned” about the military alliance between Pristina, Tirana, and Zagreb, claiming that it is not about technical-military cooperation, but an alliance that could have offensive intentions.
According to him, Serbia has intelligence on discussions regarding possible directions of attack and defense, as well as Pristina’s efforts to secure additional arms from the United States and Turkey.
Vučić reassured Serbian citizens that they should not worry, emphasizing that “the capabilities of the Serbian Army are continuously being strengthened.”
Technological Development and Robots
Vučić also announced that Serbia could begin producing its first humanoid robots within the next five months, if sufficient electricity supply is secured.
He warned that talks will be held with the leadership of “Elektroprivreda Srbije” (EPS) to increase production capacity, emphasizing that the state wants to quickly enter the field of advanced robotics and automation.
