The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, declared last night in Zurich that as long as he is president, Serbia will not recognize Kosovo’s independence and will not abandon its policy of “military neutrality.”

“As long as I am president of Serbia, Serbia will not recognize Kosovo’s independence and will remain militarily neutral,” Vučić said in response to a journalist’s question about the so-called “non-paper,” which allegedly suggests that Belgrade is recognizing Kosovo’s independence.

“There is nothing in the dreams of individuals about an independent Vojvodina,” the Serbian president stated.

Speaking about the protests in Belgrade, Vučić said he did not see the point in commenting every day on “someone’s bullying,” and that the individuals leading the protests are debating with themselves, which, according to him, “leads them to political suicide.”

“The same people – the lazy ones – provoke others. And what have they achieved, other than provoking the whole nation? They think they are killing themselves, but they are left with only extremists,” Vučić said.
