The Albanian journalist in Paris, Selam Hajrizi, revealed to Euronews Albania, details from the visit of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to Paris.

Hajrizi said that Vučić was disappointed by Macron’s reception, where behind the black curtains of the off-camera meeting, he faced criticism for the attack in Banjska, and the arrest of the organizers was demanded.

“The Serbian President came out disappointed from the meeting with President Macron. Apparently, President Vučić did not expect President Macron to immediately condemn the attack in Banjska and immediately demand the arrest of the attackers to face justice. Macron also made it clear that both parties have done something to advance the dialogue, while the Serbian President said that the other party has done nothing. Vučić mentioned that Kosovo has done nothing for the dinar and the Association of Serb Majority Municipalities,” said Hajrizi.

Vučić forgets that the Franco-German plan was drawn up by Macron’s advisors, who keep the president informed of developments.

The journalist also added that Macron is well-informed about Vučić’s closeness to Moscow, and therefore his reaction was harsh in the off-camera meeting.

“The EU is watching Vučić’s game with Moscow, and President Macron and his team are irritated, but they also have their strategic and economic interests, so they cannot be harsh in statements, but use diplomatic language, the language of diplomacy. However, behind the black curtains, things are different, as advisors inform Macron about Serbia’s actions and Vučić’s closeness to Moscow,” said the journalist.
