President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, informed the German ambassador in Belgrade, Anke Konrad, on Tuesday that the international community must ensure the safety of Serbs in Kosovo.

In a post on Instagram, Vučić stated, “A clear and unequivocal response from the international community is needed to ensure the security and protection of Serb rights.”

He further elaborated that “the unilateral actions of Pristina lead to unnecessary and dangerous escalation of tensions that could undermine the hard-won peace across the region.”

Yesterday, Kosovar institutions conducted several operations to close illegal Serbian posts in the northern part of the country.

These actions by Kosovo institutions have been met with criticism from the international community, which has warned that “unilateral actions” might lead to new incidents.
