Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed allegations suggesting Serbian involvement in supporting Viktor Orbán during Hungary’s upcoming elections.

Vučić emphasized that Orbán is a prominent leader who has significantly contributed to strong relations between Serbs and Hungarians.

“I have never hidden that I personally would like Viktor Orbán to win. But would I ever misuse the military to interfere in Hungarian elections? Never. I wouldn’t even interfere in Serbian elections, let alone in someone else’s. Those who invent such nonsense should be ashamed. That’s why we remain silent and share information only when we are 100% certain, especially until the elections in Hungary are over,” Vučić stated.

He added that the modern world is full of people, media, and politicians who often act out of their own corruption. “Look at who even imagined this — the people at N1, those at The Guardian. It never even crossed my mind. I was only concerned about ensuring that no one was harmed while the explosive device was deactivated. I called the people involved 15 times, worrying about lives. Only after three hours did some crazies claim I had arranged this with Orbán. Is that like claiming I killed Oliver Ivanović or Cvijan?” Vučić remarked.
