Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that during the plenary session of the Brdo-Brijuni Process Summit, it was agreed that the European path remains a strategic direction for the Western Balkans. However, according to him, there were disagreements between him and Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani, reports RTS.
Speaking to journalists, Vučić said:
“There are no states here; we only attend under our names, which is a positive legacy of this process. I spoke about the hypocrisy and double standards that still exist—where each of us tries to gain something at the expense of others—and about the lack of a truly common approach to solving problems in the Western Balkans.”
He also mentioned that the topic of territorial integrity was raised during the summit, referring directly to Osmani’s remarks:
“Just imagine—Vjosa Osmani talking about territorial integrity and the defense of territorial integrity. It makes your stomach turn, and everyone listens, nodding their heads… So, we reminded her of her ‘tourism days’ at the United Nations, wished her more such tourism in life, and that was it.”
Vučić concluded by saying that the regional leaders agreed to continue working together toward European integration.
