Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that he will fight until the last moment for a compromise solution with Kosovo.

“I will fight until the last moment, as long as I have influence in the Government of Serbia, for Kosovo, for a compromise solution, not those imposed 16 years ago.”

However, Vučić believes that the most important state institutions in Kosovo function, specifically healthcare and education, despite this not being true.

He mentioned the border clearance for goods from Serbia, stating that it is better than it was before, but “far from good.”

“The absolute record in Serbia’s history is how much we invest in our people in Kosovo,” he said, adding that he expects the measures he proposed for Kosovo to soon be found in the Assembly, reports Danas.

Vučić also spoke about the BRICS summit.

The president stated that he would not participate in the BRICS summit, hosted this year by Russian President Vladimir Putin, but that Serbia will be represented by four ministers because they wouldn’t miss it for the world.
