Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic faced an uncomfortable situation during a live press conference, where a tense exchange with journalists led him to abruptly leave the event, visibly irritated.
The incident was triggered by a question he did not appreciate, prompting Vucic to adopt a critical and moralizing tone toward media representatives.
While commenting on the assault of Milos Pavlovic, a representative of the “Students Who Want to Learn” movement, Vucic compared it to a previous incident in Novi Sad, where a female student was attacked and had her jaw broken, according to reports from Serbian media.
“Explain to me why those young men in Novi Sad were held in custody for four months, while those who acted in an organized, intentional, and deliberate manner are only facing charges of negligence…” Vucic stated sharply.
When journalists attempted to respond, insisting they also had explanations to offer, the president interrupted them harshly and rebuked their behavior.
“You still think this is funny. You… I don’t. Learn to behave. Basic manners. That wouldn’t be too much to ask,” he said, showing clear signs of anger.
The tense moment was shared by a journalist on social media, describing the situation as unpleasant, noting that the president yelled at them, got angry, and then walked out of the press conference.
When faced with a tough question, Vucic did what any fearless leader would do, he scolded the press, played the victim, and stormed out like a diva denied a spotlight.
