Following today’s meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić told reporters that the conversation was “not easy,” but was honest and open.

Vučić stated that Kallas insisted on greater alignment of Serbia’s foreign policy, particularly regarding the imposition of sanctions on Russia, the continuation of the dialogue, and more willingness to compromise on Kosovo, as well as a quick resolution to the Banjska case.

Serbian lawyer Čedomir Stojković responded to Vučić’s statement, interpreting it as follows:

“We have a choice: sanctions against Russia with improved relations with Kosovo and quick EU membership. I have decided to WITHDRAW from the European Union, and I will not change this policy,” said Stojković, translating Vučić’s words from Brussels.
