The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has claimed that “in the near future, two major countries, larger than Serbia,” will withdraw their recognition of Kosovo. This is yet another piece of propaganda from the Serbian president, filled with false claims aimed at undermining Kosovo’s sovereignty.

According to him, from 2012 until now, “28 countries have withdrawn their recognition” of Kosovo.

“We expect that two more countries will withdraw their recognition in the near future. These won’t be small countries, but large ones, larger than ours,” Vučić said on TV Pink.

He also claimed that “there is a lot of nervousness in Kosovo” regarding the potential return of Donald Trump to power in the US, adding that he expects “structural changes in the US administration’s support for both real and fake non-governmental organizations.”

These statements are another example of Vučić’s ongoing effort to spread misinformation and destabilize Kosovo’s international standing.
