According to Nova newspaper, warnings have been sent to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from Paris and Berlin, stating that Europe will not recognize the results of the upcoming elections if manipulation is detected.

Reportedly, the message was conveyed through MPs close to Friedrich Merz in Germany and individuals close to Emmanuel Macron in France tightening the space for Vucic to maneuver in the extraordinary elections demanded by student protesters.

“The message was delivered from several directions: Europe will not recognize the elections if they are rigged, regardless of certain existing interests. There is even the possibility that the European People’s Party (EPP) could distance itself from Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), even though within Europe’s right-wing circles, there is a general rule that ruling parties are not excluded from the group,” a source told Nova.
