Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has commented on the upcoming wave of anti-government protests scheduled for September 19, suggesting that the demonstrators are now targeting the so-called “Office for Kosovo” within the Serbian government.

Speaking in an interview with TV Pink after returning from his joint visit to China with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, Vučić alleged that the decision to protest against this institution resembled something orchestrated from Pristina.

“While these people were attacking the police, they made a decision in Belgrade—as if Kurti had ordered them—to organize a demonstration on the 19th, and believe it or not, against the Office for Kosovo,” the Serbian president stated.

The remarks come amid ongoing public discontent and large-scale demonstrations in Serbia against Vučić’s government, with opposition groups accusing his administration of authoritarian practices, state capture, and suppression of free media.

Analysts note that Vučić’s attempt to link the protests to Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti reflects a broader strategy of framing domestic unrest as externally influenced, particularly through the sensitive issue of Kosovo, which remains central to Serbian politics.
