After the end of the first round of bilateral meetings, it was announced to hold a joint meeting between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, but such a meeting did not happen.
In advance, the high representative for foreign policy and security of the European Union, Josep Borrell, and the EU envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, met Kurti and then Vučić separately.
After the first bilateral meeting, Vucic announced that during the meeting with Borrell and Lajcak, he insisted on the formation of the Association, but also expressed his commitment to the continuation of the dialogue and the “peaceful solution of the problem”.
He also said that he mentioned “all the unilateral actions” of Kurti.
“I reiterated our commitment and willingness to participate in the search for a compromise solution aimed at protecting the Serbian people and normalizing relations, and added that Pristina is unable to fulfill what it signed 11 years ago, namely the formation of the Association “, he wrote on Instagram.
