Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, who is on an official visit to Belarus, met with Ivan Tertel, the director of the Belarusian KGB.
According to Tanjug, Vulin and Tertel emphasized the good cooperation between the security services of Serbia and Belarus and agreed that “there is room for improving joint efforts to safeguard the independence of both countries.”
Vulin described Belarus as “traditionally a friendly country,” referencing the amicable relations between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. He stated that these ties “open up opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various fields.”
Belarus is a steadfast ally of Russia and has also been sanctioned by the West.
