The United States has renewed its call for information on five senior figures linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), offering financial rewards of up to $10 million for information that could assist U.S. authorities.
The announcement was issued through the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program, which is seeking information that could help identify, locate or document the activities of the individuals named.
According to the U.S. government, the five officials are allegedly involved in planning, organizing or carrying out terrorist activities in different parts of the world.
The individuals listed by the State Department are:
- Ahmed Vahidi – commander of the IRGC;
- Ali Abdullahi – head of the Khatemolanbia Central Headquarters;
- Saeed Aghajani – commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force’s unmanned aerial vehicle units;
- Hamidreza Lasgarian – head of the Cyber and Electronic Warfare Directorate;
- Majid Khademi – commander of the Intelligence Service.
U.S. authorities say the information sought must have practical value in helping establish the identities, locations or activities of these individuals.
Those who provide information considered useful may be eligible for financial compensation and relocation assistance, according to the State Department.
The renewed reward offer comes amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran and reflects ongoing U.S. efforts to target members and structures of the IRGC, which Washington accuses of supporting terrorist activities and conducting operations beyond Iran’s borders.
