The Regional Water Company “Prishtina” (KRU Prishtina) has announced temporary reductions in drinking water supply today, following high turbidity in the Ibër-Lepenci canal caused by heavy rainfall.

According to KRU, the Shkabaj Water Treatment Unit (ITU) is currently out of service. As a result, the following areas will experience reduced water supply between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM:

  • Fushë-Kosovë
  • Obiliq
  • Part of the “Kalabria” neighborhood in Prishtina

Water supply for these areas is expected to resume between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. KRU also notes that other areas of Prishtina may experience temporary disruptions.

“Our teams are on the ground monitoring the situation continuously. Supply will be restored as soon as water parameters stabilize. Water is being treated at full capacity at the Albanik and Badoc units,” the announcement states.

Residents are advised to plan accordingly and use water sparingly until normal service is restored.
