At around 00:20, unidentified individuals threw two hand grenades at the Kosovo Post building in Zvecan. As a result of the explosion of one of the grenades, material damage occurred, but no injuries have been reported.
Relevant police units, upon arriving at the scene, discovered another unexploded grenade inside the building. The police units immediately secured the area, and the residents were evacuated temporarily. The grenade was later safely detonated in a controlled manner by the specialized unit for explosive devices.
The Anti-Terror Unit is working intensively to identify the perpetrators of this explosion. The State Prosecutor has been informed about the case and has instructed that it be initiated as “Endangering Public Safety.” The Kosovo Police strongly condemns these dangerous actions and calls on citizens to cooperate with authorities to help identify the individuals responsible for the explosion. Any information that could assist the investigation can be reported to the police or through secure reporting lines.
