The Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, cited by TASS, provided a summary of the results of the spring–summer 2025 military campaign.
According to the general, Russian forces have, since March, occupied over 3,500 square kilometers of territory and 149 villages in Ukraine.
“They are conducting an uninterrupted offensive along almost the entire frontline. To date, the strategic initiative entirely belongs to the Russian Armed Forces,” Gerasimov was quoted by the Russian news agency.
