Prishtina has made a strong statement of intent in the race for silverware and a spot in European competitions. The capital city club secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Drita in the second leg of the Kosovo Cup semi-final, played on Wednesday evening at the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium.

Despite facing the current Superliga leaders and one of the season’s most consistent teams, the white-and-blues led by coach Arsim Thaçi were dominant in every aspect of the game, closing the tie with an aggregate score of 4-0.

Ardian Muja was the star of the match, scoring twice in the first half. He opened the scoring in the 10th minute after an assist from Ramiz Bytyqi, and doubled the lead in the 39th minute following a smooth combination with Leotrim Kryeziu — both goals came from precise shots inside the box.

The lead was extended in added time of the first half when Albin Krasniqi netted a stunning free-kick, lifting the spirits of the fans at “Fadil Vokrri,” who continued to support their team despite the rain.

With this win, Prishtina booked a place in the Kosovo Cup final, where they will face Llapi.

This marks Prishtina’s third consecutive final: they lost to Ballkani in 2023 but triumphed over Gjilani in 2022. Llapi, on the other hand, will play its third final in the last four years, having lifted the trophy in 2021 and 2022.

The final is scheduled for May 14 at the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium in Prishtina. In addition to the trophy, the winner will also earn a place in the UEFA Europa League.
