Makfirete Dibrani, the whistleblower who exposed a major alleged corruption scheme involving water-packaging companies and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, has delivered a powerful public statement, vowing not to be silenced despite threats against her.
In an open letter addressed to the people of Kosovo and the diaspora, Dibrani revealed that she has received dozens of supportive messages in recent days, which have strengthened her resolve to continue her fight for justice. Among them, she highlighted a particularly moving letter from a 19-year-old law student from the diaspora, who wrote that Dibrani’s courage had inspired her and given her hope for real change.
“Not Even Death Can Scare Me”
In her letter, Dibrani condemned those attempting to intimidate her:
“There are people who try to plant fear, to attack me, and to twist justice. They are cowards who believe threats can silence the truth. But I want to make it clear – not even death scares me. We all know one day we will leave this world, but I will not stop until my last breath. I do this not for revenge, but because I love my country.”
Dibrani emphasized that her battle is not a personal one, but a fight that belongs to all Kosovars who want to see a future built on truth, justice, and integrity rather than fear and corruption.
A Call for Unity
Her words served as a rallying cry for citizens both in Kosovo and abroad:
“This fight is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone who loves this country and believes that Kosovo’s future must be built on justice, not fear; on truth, not lies. Together, we can break down the wall of injustice and lay strong foundations for a Kosovo where our children can dream freely.”
Dibrani concluded her message with gratitude, thanking all those who have stood by her and offered encouragement:
“Every word, every gesture of support has given me strength. You are my power, and together we are stronger than any injustice.”
