Each new release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein has further intensified the already charged political and social climate in the United States. The latest batch of files, part of more than three million pages published by the U.S. Department of Justice after significant delays, has once again raised troubling questions about the depth and reach of Epstein’s ties to powerful figures in Western political, business, and technology circles.

While names such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates have predictably drawn the most attention, the documents also reveal a figure of particular interest to regional audiences: Boris Nikolić, a Croatian-born physician whose career has largely unfolded in the United States.

A Career Built in Elite Institutions

Boris Nikolić graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine before continuing his professional career in the U.S. He later worked at Harvard University, served as a science and technology adviser to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and is currently a co-founder of an investment fund focused on biotechnology and health technologies.

Nikolić’s name has previously surfaced in connection with Epstein. It was earlier revealed that Epstein had named Nikolić as a backup executor of his estate, a role Nikolić later rejected, claiming he had never been informed of the decision. However, newly released documents shed further light on Nikolić’s operational and communication role within Epstein’s circle.

Emails, the Musk Family, and a Notable Warning

Among the 2012 email correspondence is an exchange involving Kimbal Musk, brother of Elon Musk, who communicated with both Epstein and Nikolić. In one message, Kimbal Musk thanks them for introducing him to a woman named Jennifer.

Nikolić’s reply has drawn particular scrutiny. He advises Musk to “be nice,” warning that “Jeffrey goes crazy when someone treats his girls/friends badly.”

Although the message does not constitute a criminal allegation, it has been widely interpreted as illustrating the internal dynamics of Epstein’s network, where women appear to have been treated as part of his personal domain—a portrayal that has further fueled discomfort and suspicion regarding the nature of those relationships.

Gates, Musk, and the Broader Elite Network

The documents also cast new light on Epstein’s interactions with Bill Gates and Elon Musk. Emails highlighted by Financial Times show Epstein allegedly writing to himself about attempts by Gates to conceal a sexually transmitted infection following encounters with “young Russian women”, including requests to delete emails and obtain antibiotics.

Representatives close to Gates have categorically denied these claims, calling them “completely absurd and false,” and arguing that the messages reflect Epstein’s vindictiveness after their relationship deteriorated.

In the case of Elon Musk, emails from 2012 and 2013 suggest interest in visiting Epstein’s private island and Caribbean social events, despite Musk’s current assertion that he barely knew Epstein and declined his invitations.

What Was Nikolić’s Role?

Unlike politicians and billionaire executives, Nikolić emerges as a background figure—a scientist, physician, and investor—yet one who appears deeply integrated into Epstein’s inner communication network. His association with the Gates Foundation and his designation within Epstein’s estate planning have raised further questions about the level of trust and proximity between the two men.

While the documents contain no criminal accusations against Nikolić, they clearly place him within a network of individuals close enough to Epstein to facilitate communication, introductions, and internal discipline.

As further documents continue to be released, public scrutiny of the lesser-known figures orbiting Epstein is intensifying, underscoring that the scandal extends far beyond the most famous names already under the spotlight.
