Jeta Statovci, MP of Vetëvendosje’s parliamentary group, vice-chair of the Guxo party, and lead candidate on the list for Prishtina in the upcoming local elections, has explained why the two parties are competing with separate lists.
Speaking on Rubikon at Klan Kosova, Statovci said that while the two movements share cooperation, they also have clear differences.
“There are differences. Ideologically, Vetëvendosje belongs to the center-left, while Guxo positions itself in the center-right,” she said.
Statovci confirmed that in the October 12th local elections, Guxo will run with its own candidates for mayor in some municipalities, while in others it will only present lists for municipal assemblies.
In cases where Guxo does not field mayoral candidates, the party will support candidates of Vetëvendosje.
