The National Civil Protection Agency of Albania has reported that nine wildfire outbreaks were registered in the past 24 hours across five municipalities: Tirana, Durrës, Kavaja, Lezha, and Berat.

According to the agency, all fire outbreaks were successfully neutralized with no casualties reported.

It was noted that the risk of wildfires remains high in the regions of Lezha, Durrës, Tirana, and Fier. A moderate risk level is expected in the other regions.

Below are the key details shared by the Civil Protection Agency regarding the fires and resulting damage:

In six cases, fires affected areas with shrubs and dry grass, burning approximately 0.5 hectares of land.

In two incidents, fires broke out in residential areas: one in neighborhood no. 5 in Kavaja Municipality and another in the village of Ishull Shëngjin, causing material damage. In the Ishull Shëngjin case, a gas leak led to the injury of a woman, who was immediately transported to the Trauma Hospital.

In another incident, a private vehicle caught fire, resulting in material damage only.

The firefighting operations involved 9 operational units and 64 fire engines.

According to forecasts from the Institute of Geosciences, no rainfall is expected for today.

The entire Civil Protection mechanism, at both local and central levels, remains engaged and is continuously monitoring the situation.

Citizens are urged to exercise increased caution during these high-temperature days and to report any fire incidents to the relevant authorities immediately.
