A massive wildfire continues to rage in the village of Hoshtimë, in the municipality of Vlorë, southern Albania.

Driven by strong winds, the fire has rapidly spread, engulfing vegetation, shrubs, and even the village cemetery, where cypress trees have burned extensively.

Authorities have called for aerial support, and a helicopter has been deployed, dumping water in an attempt to contain the flames.

As of now, the fire is moving toward the nearby villages of Bestrovë and Kërkovë, raising alarm among locals. Police forces and residents have rushed to the scene to assist efforts on the ground.

Emergency teams are continuing their battle to stop the spread, but the challenging terrain and dry conditions remain major obstacles.
