The President of the European Council, Kaja Kallas, has kept the possibility of organizing a high-level meeting within the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue open.

Kallas said that she is committed to finding an effective way to move forward with the process of normalizing relations between the two countries.

“Regarding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, or the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, I have appointed a Special Representative with whom I will sit down to look at the future. What we are interested in is the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Whether through this dialogue or another instrument, we will gather ideas and come up with a proposal,” Kallas said to REL.

She also spoke about the recent tensions and protests in Serbia, emphasizing that democracy works through the expression of dissatisfaction by citizens, a phenomenon that also occurs in EU member states.

It is worth mentioning that next week, Kallas is expected to visit the Western Balkans.
