A severe winter storm in the United States has left over 84,000 customers without electricity, with Texas being the hardest-hit state at 43,000 outages. Other affected areas include Louisiana, Arkansas, and California.

The storm has also caused widespread disruption in air travel, with more than 10,000 flights canceled over the weekend. Dallas–Fort Worth Airport reported over 1,000 cancellations, while Charlotte Douglas Airport saw over 400 flights canceled.

Airlines are offering fee-free rebooking and changes for passengers impacted by the disruptions. Officials are warning residents to remain cautious, as the storm continues to affect travel and utilities in multiple regions.
