Without a meeting with Vucic, Sørensen calls talks in Belgrade “substantial” for dialogue and normalization

The European Union envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sørensen, wrote after meeting with Serbian officials in Belgrade—without a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

He described the talks with these officials as substantial for dialogue and normalization.

Sørensen also referenced Serbia’s path toward the European Union, emphasizing the need for progress in the dialogue.

“In Belgrade last week, I had useful and essential discussions regarding our expectations for the normalization process in 2026. I stressed that progress on Serbia’s path toward the EU requires advancement in the Dialogue,” he said.
