The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo (SPRK) announced the arrest of a woman in Mitrovica, suspected of committing the criminal offense of espionage. Following several months of investigation in cooperation with the Kosovo Police’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, the arrest took place in the evening.
The suspect is charged under Article 124, Paragraph 3, in connection with Article 31 of the Kosovo Criminal Code for espionage. The Special Prosecutor has ordered a 48-hour detention, and the Kosovo Police are currently conducting searches at the suspect’s residence to gather additional material evidence.
The state prosecutor is taking all necessary investigative actions to ensure the successful progression of the criminal procedure.
