Work has begun on George Bush Street in the capital.
The inauguration of the project was done by the Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama.
In a post on social media, Rama stated that this is a big step toward transforming this space into a true urban oasis.
“This is a big step toward transforming this space into a true urban oasis, where our main priority is to provide as much space as possible for the citizens, especially for children, and to create a green environment. This project aims to bring an urban revolution that will radically change the living experience for those who frequent this space. Public spaces will be surrounded by areas filled with trees, creating a living ecosystem and a microsystem of nature that coexists in harmony with the city. Additionally, the new design will ensure easy access for everyone, guaranteeing that every citizen, regardless of age or abilities, will be able to enjoy this space without barriers,” wrote Rama.
In addition to green spaces and playgrounds, dedicated areas for cultural, artisanal, and recreational activities will also be created, contributing to the development of local culture and traditions, Rama added.
