Kosovo’s passport is ranked 62nd globally in the latest Henley Passport Index, which, based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), allows visa-free access to 81 countries.
Singapore holds the top position, with its citizens able to travel visa-free to 193 countries. It is followed by South Korea in second place with access to 190 countries, and Japan in third place with 189 destinations.
Slovenia and Hungary rank sixth, with visa-free access to 185 countries, while Croatia is seventh, allowing entry to 184 countries without a visa.
In the region, Albania is ranked 46th, offering visa-free travel to 122 countries. Montenegro and North Macedonia share the 41st position with 129 countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks 45th with 123 countries, while Serbia is placed 35th, with access to 137 countries.
At the bottom of the Henley Passport Index is Afghanistan, whose passport holders can enter only 24 countries without a visa.
It is worth noting that, according to this index, Kosovo ranked 108th worldwide in 2021, marking a significant improvement in recent years.
The Henley Passport Index is the original ranking of all the world’s passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. The index includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations.
