The United States and Israel have reportedly decided to temporarily remove two senior Iranian officials from their target list — Abbas Araghchi and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the move is part of efforts to revive peace talks between Washington and Tehran.

U.S. sources cited by the newspaper indicate that the removal is temporary, expected to last approximately four to five days. At the same time, the administration of Donald Trump is said to be open to the possibility of diplomatic engagement.

However, the same sources caution that the chances for significant progress remain limited due to substantial differences in the negotiating positions of the United States and Iran.
