Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an interview that approximately 55,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed on the battlefield since the beginning of the war with Russia.
“The official number of soldiers killed on the battlefield—both professional and conscripted—is 55,000,” Zelensky said.
He also added that, beyond the confirmed casualties, a large number of people are officially considered missing.
