Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that he met with his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
Zelensky said he congratulated Trump on the strike against Iran, which he described as a successful operation in the Middle East.
“It is important that the actions of the U.S. have not only weakened their nuclear program, but also their drone production. With the President, we discussed the protection of our people, starting with the purchase of American air defense systems (PPO) to cover our cities, people, churches, and infrastructure.”
“Ukraine is ready to purchase this equipment and support American weapons manufacturers. Europe can help. We also discussed the potential for co-production of drones. We can strengthen each other,” Zelensky wrote.
Furthermore, he stated that he informed Trump about the recent technical team meetings held in Istanbul and the exchanges of prisoners and fallen soldiers.
“We discussed the situation on the battlefield. Putin is certainly not winning. I presented the President with the facts about what is really happening on the ground,” Zelensky said.
